About the Position:

Tachus is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Corporate Development Associate.  The ideal candidate should be an experienced, highly-organized and energetic self-starter with a successful track record of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Development Associate will provide leadership and support on various investment and growth initiatives consistent with Tachus’ overall business plan and strategy.  Key areas of focus will include development, evaluation and execution of Tachus’ geographic expansion in Texas, as well as analysis and development of additional business lines.  These roles and functions will evolve over time as the company grows, and Tachus is looking for a Corporate Development Associate who will grow with the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Director of Finance in robust financial modeling and analysis, detailed underwriting/due diligence, and operational and financial reporting
  • Develop and manage core operational reports using business intelligence methods and tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce)
  • Prepare and analyze financial implications of new growth initiatives
  • Actively participate in and contribute to corporate strategic planning with executive leadership team
  • Utilize rigorous analytical and data processing techniques to research market segments, trends, competitive landscape and expansion opportunities to provide sound recommendations to executive management

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • The Corporate Development Associate candidate should be an experienced professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategic consulting.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a sustained track record of excellence in academic performance is required.
  • Strong analytical and written skills, as well as work experience utilizing advanced, investment banking-grade financial modeling in Excel and presenting in PowerPoint, are also a must.
  • Experience with business intelligence/structured data analysis and geographic information systems (GIS), including applications such as Power BI, Tableau, QGIS and ArcGIS, are preferred
  • The candidate should exhibit excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
